Had the pleasure of watching So You Think You Can Dance tour live in Chicago. Enjoyed the amazing performances, each one of them was outstanding. The best part was seeing the winners live, and not through a camera, which made me realize how real each performer was. How different from a stereotypical image of the perfect flawless stars they were. No, I am not saying they were not good, but I am saying that they are just like us. It's the Passion, Practice, Dedication and a Healthy Body and Mind that makes someone good at what they do, not their looks, body type or who they know. That's all the profound talk for now :-)

I continue in my journey to promote joy through dance. Had an amazing time at GigiFest with all the kids. You guys all rock. Thanks to Megha & the GiGi's play house team for their help. The red carpet event of the calendar models was too cute. Here's to more fun!

But for now a reminder about our Open House event. Check out the article about us in the Schaumburg Tribune print edition :-) This Sunday, 3:30 pm in CRC - Schaumburg Park District.

Lastly and most importantly want to mention that we will miss Dipesh - a dancer friend and supporter who lost his father recently. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

A Dynamite Night at GiGi's

I came to Dance Dance Dance .....and totally moved by the booty shaking  toddlers @ Gigi's playhouse, who proved that Dance is a Universal language to express your joy, when they gave us a repeat performance to  Taio Cruz's Dynamite.

Kids are special - they are like sponges absorbing almost everything fun you have to teach them... and then some that you don't :-)

I also want to  thank the volunteers (Susan, Amy & Hailey) for being such sports and partying to my peppy Bollywood and Latin dance numbers. A cozy and fun  gathering. Honored to be invited again for GigiFest. Let's do Bollywood  again Schaumburg!

As always, if you are looking for some quality and contemporary dance experience in the Bollywood genre, stay tuned to DanceWithAnu, or better yet feel free to check out my classes at Schaumburg Park District.

Her classes and workshops offer a unique environment of energy, motivation and spice for first time dancers or those who are bored of working out by themselves or doing the same thing over again. Her guided technique provides a safe way to increase flexibility and grace. Her classes are a fun common activity that friends and family can share. She uses custom and new music mixes each session that keeps participants going, providing a supportive environment to expand one's talent and passion.
